Job Description:

Faubourg Brewing Company has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced manufacturing & sales leader. This senior position is responsible for advising and overseeing all daily activities including: overall daily leadership, mentorship on wholesale and retail commercial activities, business development, production, logistics, quality control, engineering, maintenance, marketing, distribution relations, training, and facilities. The General Manager must take a lead role in conjunction with the Executive Team in the development of long-term and short-term planning to drive the organization to achieve maximum overall efficiencies and results.

The General Manager provides hands-on leadership and management across all aspects of the sales, operations and manufacturing functions, including, but not limited to:

  • Planning, forecasting, budgeting, sourcing, producing, and shipping goods.
  • Ensure operations run efficiently, lead all aspects of operations technology systems and implementations, and evaluate current processes to maximize efficiency and continual improvements to the cost, safety, and environmental management of operations.
  • Collaborate with accounting team to develop and manage budgets for assigned departments including cost of goods sold, pricing, operating expenditures and capital expenditures.
  • Monitor cost variances and report them to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Manage major projects to improve operations from beginning to end, including facility maintenance, repair, and construction.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to maintain relationships with wholesalers and to promote brewery as a preeminent manufacturing facility and seek contract-brewing agreements with local and regional breweries.
  • Explore and expand programming at brewery to increase and grow retail sales and exposure to locals and the tourism markets.
  • Report progress against strategic goals and objectives through a balanced and effective performance metrics framework

Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing operations in a manufacturing facility, with 5+ years management experience in food and beverages.
  • A solid understanding of OSHA requirements and a proven track record of focus on building a safety culture.
  • Deep understanding of local and federal laws.
  • Dedication to the ideals of diversity, equality, inclusion in the workplace.
  • Strong financial acumen and proven project manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and balance multiple projects.
  • Proven track record with a distributor is preferred.
